Word of mouth.
For ten years, most of my jobs came from word of mouth. Houses, restaurants, barber shops all over Houston. Somebody they trust told them call H&S.

“Highly recommend!! Jaffar (owner) came out himself and gave me an estimate on the work I wanted and did the work immediately. Not only did he fix my drainage problem, he educated me on how to troubleshoot and service myself in the future. He also turned my garbage disposal and re-plumed it to make it drain properly. We no longer have to turn on the disposal to get the water to drain. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. We plan to use them for future renovations and will refer them to anyone that needs a plumber.”

Meet the owner.
Jaffar, owner
I was studying at the University of New Orleans to be a civil engineer, and I dropped out to become a plumber. It’s been great ever since.
I’m not the cheapest plumber in Houston. I’m not the highest either. I’m smack in the middle. There’s a saying I go by: buy right or buy twice.
I speak English, Spanish and Arabic.
About H&S
Questions I get asked.
Water’s leaking. What do I do first?
Shut off the water main on the property. If you can’t get to the shutoff valve, look for a black plastic box on the sidewalk or in the grass. That’s your water meter. Pop off the lid, and with a pair of channel locks or a crescent wrench, do about a quarter turn to the off position.
I smell gas. What do I do?
If you smell gas and it’s strong, shut off the gas main and get a plumber there. Better safe than sorry.
If the smell is strong, get everyone out and call 911 or the gas company from outside.
My kitchen drain keeps clogging. Why?
A lot of people think the garbage disposal can process anything. But you have an inch-and-a-half pipe going into the two-inch stack in the wall, and that can easily clog up with rice or cooking oil. I had a client put stuffed grape leaves down the drain, and they had a grapevine start growing out of the sewer line. Throw it in the trash can, then do your dishes.
My house has old galvanized pipe. Should I worry?
If it’s galvanized iron and the house was built in the late sixties or early seventies, definitely consider doing a repipe. It only takes one joint to bust, and you’ll have a massive bill from the plumbing side, the remediation side and the electrician side. Catch it before it’s too late.
Is the look free?
At a house, yes. It costs you nothing to have us come out. We see what’s wrong, then we tell you what the fix is gonna cost. Don’t like the price? We pack up and you owe us nothing.
